VINBESKRIVELSE:

RATINGS:

95 point PARKER, der skriver:

"The NV Triunvirato No. 7 is a Douro field blend (60%) of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinto Cão; and 40% a Bairrada field blend of Baga and Syrah, all aged for 28 months in used French oak. It comes in at 13.7% alcohol. This is produced with a "No. X" when released rather than vintage dates, although the "No. 7" here is a plain clue to its vintage—2017. It becomes a wine with no appellation because it is the result of combined trials from the winery's Douro and Bairrada estates. This touches all the bases. It shows expressive fruit but also elegance, focus and a fair bit of power. It seems seriously crafted on all fronts. I loved the mid-palate finesse. The complexity and relative freshness were nice additional selling points too. The Syrah seems to poke through (you never know with these varied blends), and it is very expressive but never overwhelming. This is a beautiful food wine with considerable distinction. It has a chance to improve with cellaring. It should age well, perhaps even better than indicated. This wine may sound like a gimmick, but it sure doesn't perform like a gimmick."
